Founded in 2008, Shanghai-based CooTek is the company behind TouchPal X Keyboard and TouchPal Contacts , which lets you type contact names directly on your smartphone’s dial pad. Distribution and cashflow pose challenges in China. CooTek is Chinese but targeted Western consumers first. Being copied is a huge problem in China.
