While all the teams used the Mission Model Canvas , (videos here ), Customer Development and Agile Engineering to build Minimal Viable Products, each of their journeys was unique. Teams can prove their competence and validate their ideas by showing investors evidence that there’s a repeatable and scalable businessmodel. A Lean Startup methodology offers entrepreneurs a framework to focus on what’s important: BusinessModel Discovery. We focus on evidence and trajectory across the businessmodel.

My contribution has been, “Why don’t we design classes more closely modeled to what innovators and entrepreneurs actually do.” Today the capstone class is most often experiential, team-based, hands on, focused around the search for a repeatable and scalable businessmodel. And a very small percentage are focused on innovation.
