AgileFall is an ironic term for program management where you try to be agile and lean, but you keep using waterfall development techniques. I’ve spent this year working with corporations and government agencies that are adopting and adapting Lean Methodologies. Several pockets of innovation in his agency have begun to look to startups and have tried to adopt lean methods. We were once a scrappy, agile and feared organization with a “can-do” attitude.

Frameworks assume: engaged leadership, talent on the team, day to day creativity, curiosity, and domain knowledge. You will fail with: Lean, Agile, Design Thinking, TRIZ, Stage-Gate, Osborn-Parnes CPS, KILN’s FuseTrail, or a homegrown/blended framework. An authentic desire to improve or invent.
