Because nonprofit organizations provide valuable services to communities, state and federal governments do not require nonprofit organizations to pay taxes.

The leadership centers of the microcomputer world shifted from Albuquerque to the San Fernando Valley (LA), the Bay Area, and Seattle. It’s not always easy to “break in” to a new community. Tech communities have similar pecking orders , and some are more accommodating that others. Deals were getting done there.

Our community colleges are excellent as well, including the Alamo Colleges, Austin Community College, the Dallas College and the Lone Star Community College. Other companies, like Blue Origin, Firefly Space and Space X are all conducting operations in Texas, both together with NASA and for their own unique space ventures.
