Want to spend a year or more in Argentina? I think the overwhelming majority of people would not be good at running their own smallbusinesses (but that doesn’t mean they need to work in mindless jobs or be on the Deferred Life plan). Andrew Warner from Mixergy is doing it. He’s not on the Deferred Life plan.
In the summer of 2009, my wife and I caught the entrepreneurial bug and started a company without any prior business experience. We didn’t know anything about smallbusiness accounting or finance. We didn’t even know how to write a business plan. From backpackers to business owners. We’d never hired anyone.

All the places that had looked dangerous to us two weeks earlier seemed safe and comfortable now.

While in Buenos Aires, Argentina I joined a DeRose Method school and I soon realized how incredibly effective it had been in helping me reach my goals. After receiving a B.A.
I'd also spent a year living in Buenos Aires, Argentina. And so I'd gotten a sense of what that could do to a population and it certainly wasn't unique to Argentina. And we had just had massive challenges trying to move money to the different contractors we were hiring in different places. In a way, it brought the world together.
