Im trying to create a technology enabled recruiting service for an unproven business model. Even though the business is making money now, its still a big risk for anyone involved. I was basically a consultant without the payment and I basically got taken advantage of. Hes right on so many levels. Act accordingly.

But as any programmer will tell you (I’m one), any lucrative contract or full time job you can get, especially these days, will usually leave you so burnt out by the end of the day that the last thing you will want to do is sit down and bang out more code. The above would make sense if one is unable to afford or obtain coders period.

The programmer will probably not understand your business model, and therefore cant help you point out anything that doesnt make sense in the requirements. I also know someone else who consulted me about his website idea. Well as a programmer of many websites I find that it is easier for my clients to consult my ideas first.
