This past fall we did Libya, the season before that we did Uganda, and we’re going to be doing Cambodia in 2019. We’re also doing trips to Bolivia, Cambodia and we’re even going to do one in Vermont, which I know seems to be a little out there. Every season we pick a different country.

Almost half of its working-age population are unemployed, and the latest United Nations Human Development Index ranks Nepal at #144 out of 188 countries, coming in behind Cambodia (#143), Zambia (#139), and Iraq (#121). The water project is located at Mahendrajhadi VDC #8 Ward of Sindhuli province, which is an 8-hour “drive” from Kathmandu.

To help children get access to education in the developing world by raising money for Room to Read. This year we’re raising the bar and launching 5 new rides, to make the biggest impact yet.

We’re now over 500 strong, and have raised over $500,000 which were used to build 6 schools, 14 libraries and 300 scholarships for girls in Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Vietnam and Tanzania. A community forms around a common goal. Great movements must have a broad human appeal.

The A-7 had been shot down over Cambodia. I hung back until one of my fellow techs said, “Lets go find out what the party is about.”. We walked over and quickly found out it wasn’t a party – it was more like a funeral. And as we found out later, the pilot wasn’t ever coming home. An empty place on the flight line.
