And my specialty was computer networks. It was the closest I could get to Spain. I didn’t have someone willing to offer me a job in Spain. I thought if I could live and work in Spain I could become bilingual, but I never got the opportunity. Technical founder. It was all technical. You’re 42.

The most common solution is not necessarily the easiest, where companies hire a manager with expertise or a network in the chosen country, and enable him or her to hire a team of two or three people as support to get started. He was intrigued, so I connected him to BlaBlaCar’s founders who convinced him to join the adventure shortly after.

1- I credit my co-founder. I credit my co-founder Eric Frothingham with coming up with our name. In the 90’s, there was a famous TV spot in Spain from Renault tagging the new young generation entering labor market. Her picture is my office as an added reminder of the woman I consider our real founder.
