We were on the University of North Carolina campus to meet with Fred Brooks and Henry Fuchs. Unlike Intel chips, MIPS chip architecture also made it possible to plug in a math co-processor. A few days later Gordon became a founder. He was my role model at Convergent, mentor at Ardent and partner at E.piphany.
