The poverty rate in Guatemala is around 55%, so I decided to take Rollie to El Remete, Guatemala. Day 0 – Travel to Guatemala City before our next day connection Today was a travel day. We arrived in Guatemala City at 7pm, and got through customs and immigration fairly quickly. But I thought I’d share it all.

It can help build communities. With donations from the community for funding, materials, equipment and time, the team began to implement its plan. More than 500 curious and excited students gathered to celebrate the grand opening and start the process of rebuilding the Union University community.

We’ll choose the 5 -10 finalists that we like the best and put them up for a community vote. He currently lives in Guatemala but is originally from the U.S. The April cS Award. Good luck, everyone!

Bonus points for the fact that they partner with the social enterprise Vision Spring to facilitate training for optometrists and eye glass manufacturers in the same countries that they donate glasses to (India, Guatemala, and Bangladesh to name a few), so the communities also receive opportunities for sustainable income.
