One of the reasons why eBay and Amazon have done so well is because of their respective communities and the ratings that are created by their customers. It leverages almost a wiki like concept so when I add a bottle of wine, it first searches its database to see if anyone else in the community has already input the data.

I can now give back to my community in ways that would not have been possible earlier. One was the realization of what I was really good at doing – helping organizations with starting and/or fixing their sales operation.
