But too often when its time to think about customers, marketing, positioning, or PR, we delegate it to "marketroids" or "suits." Many of us are not accustomed to thinking about markets or customers in a disciplined way.
Entrepreneurs first map their assumptions and then test these hypotheses with customers out in the field (customerdevelopment) and use an iterative and incremental development methodology (agile development) to build the product. We now have specific management tools to grow startups.
There are dozens of free website builders that make it easy for any entrepreneur to create a new website from a template, even with no website building experience – but it may be better to customdevelop a site from scratch. . What are the advantages of customdevelopment, and is it the right move for every startup? .
I believe it is the best introduction to CustomerDevelopment you can buy. As all of you know, Steve Blank is the progenitor of CustomerDevelopment and author of The Four Steps to the Epiphany.
