My longtime friend Marion Jenkins, CEO of IT consultant QSE Technologies wrote what I think is one of the most eloquent and well thought out rebuttals to the proposed Colorado “Software Tax” (HB 1192). With his permission I’m posting it here in its entirety. I urge you to oppose HB 1192, the so-called “Software” Tax.
Speaking from experience: My mate paid someone to build him a database-driven website. In addition to showing him what to do, I also pointed out the vulnerabilities and demonstrated how easy it was to login into the admin area of his site without knowing any username or password or database table or column names.
