I've volunteered and worked for non-profits in a variety of countries on projects ranging from an organic olive oil operation to a permaculture demonstration site to a forestry project in western Guatemala's mountains. These operations learned during the last 18 months they could operate in a remote or distributed environment.

And for coffee distribution, you’ll have to press elbows with Starbucks in Guatemala. If you’re venturing into the apparel market, you’ll have to visit China and Vietnam where the major garment factories are located. If you decide to produce toilets, sinks and showers, you’ll have to go to Japan. All markets are global.
Typically it goes one lead: $200K+, couple medium pro’s: $50-$100K, then strategic guys at $25K (sometimes $10K for ultra strategic / domain expertise / distribution / etc). We are based and focused in Guatemala, our goal is to validate the business model & expand towards countries with similar characteristics. Hope that helps.
