Last week, (seems that all of my postings start this way) I attended the Second Annual West Coast Businesswomen’s Sustainability Leadership Summit , a Women’s Network for Sustainable Future event , at IBM Almaden Research Center in San Jose, California. general population of Europe is pretty savvy about being green.

I fell in to all three camps representing San Jose State University, Startups (through my CFO/board roles) and Investors (with my angel investor hat on). We were specifically advocating to fix the broken H1-B and Green Card programs and to provide visas and green cards to startup entrepreneurs and STEM degree holders.

I was previously a founder of Bizmetric in 2000 (your firm chose not to invest) and am now working on a startup using 3D architectural visualization for green building. There were a number of green projects at the NIF, including environmental studies major Alan Hacklers Zero Waste Solutions. I also teach Entrepreneurial Finance at San Jose State. She is planning on starting the business upon graduation.
