9- A merger of two companies. Enventys Partners was born when my company Command Partners, a digital marketing firm, vertically merged with Enventys, a product development firm. Jump forward 16-17 years, through numerous mergers, sales, wins and losses, and our current agency, HUB, is going strong, powered and pushed forward by that original desire to do a good job, create sustainable digital products and generally make a difference. Even with the turmoil in the capital markets in the second half of 2007, it was another record year for merger and acquisition activity. In one recent deal, Arizona Bay agreed to invest $140,000 worth of websitedevelopment work in a company called Pro Player Connect.
I would add that having a business such as a webdevelopment contract service would bring in cash-flow allowing the main founders to keep alive and grow the vision and initial beta. During the last 2 years of building two startups with a massive development plan we at the same time built 400+ websites on a contract basis.
