I’ve worked with 30+ early-stage companies in all sorts of capacities (and spoken to many, many more), so I thought it might be worthwhile trying to classify the various ways that I’ve engaged in different technology roles in startups. It depends on the business, people, technologies, etc. Each situation is just a bit different.

During the due-diligence process, I sat down with one of the partners who pulled out a set of slides and asked me: ”Have you seen these?” We consciously didn’t ask potential customers to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Are These Your Slides? Perfect timing on sharing this pearl Steve.

As an advisor to entrepreneurs, I often have to deal with people who are convinced that they must get me to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before they begin talks about their new venture.
