I lived through the time when working in my first job in Ann Arbor Michigan we had to get out a map to find out that SanJose was not only in Puerto Rico but there was a city with that same name in California. Today open source software has slashed the cost of softwaredevelopment from millions of dollars to thousands.
Although Catalyst folded with the dot-com crash, Ries continued his entrepreneurial career as a Senior Software Engineer at There.com, leading efforts in agile softwaredevelopment and user-generated content.
